Jax and Allan

On Thursday 4 February 2021, the team from Wedding Wish (Victoria), made another couple’s wedding dream come true!

Acknowledging their indigenous heritage was important to Jax and Allan – so the ceremony was held in the Elder Circle in the Gardens, under a gorgeous arbour decorated with Australian Natives. The Circle was surrounded by rocks with traditional symbols on them and is a well-known, highly respected area in the Melton Botanical Gardens.

The bride diagnosed with metastatic melanoma, walked barefoot, supported by her father and soon to be father-in-law, and carried a beautiful native flower bouquet. In keeping with the indigenous tradition, a local didgeridoo player, Blayke played as the bride walked in, during the ceremony and after. Standing barefoot, like their ancestors before them, the ceremony commenced with an Acknowledgement of Country and the bridal party and guests, all dressed in colourful t-shirts, respectfully stood outside the circle as the ceremony commenced.

The ceremony was fun and relaxed – just as Jax and Allan wanted.
